  • UK domestic issues and news.

Making a separate thread since there is quite a lot of mayor developments in UK like high street crisis that are not worth making separate thread in News sections and are not directly Brexit related.

Jaguar Landrover to cut 4500 jobs.

UK largest car manufacturer will cut 4500 jobs to compensate for moving part of production to new plant in Slovakia and poor sales in China. Company recently warrned that it might shut down Bromwich plant completly depending on post Brexit situation.

Institute of Statecraft's "integrity Initiative" is modeled after CIA's Operation Mockingbird. It uses journalists to spread disinformation in the news media under the cover of "countering Russian disinformation". One of its targets seem to be the progressives in UK, such as Jeremy Corbyn and the the Labor Party. Their modus operandi is to smear those who do not toe the line of the right-wing Tory government as "Russophile" or "anti-Semitic".

The Morning Star is literally a communist newspaper.

I don't know if they're wrong or right on this subject, but asking them about Corbyn is like asking me if I like beer or tits (Hint - I do).

I'd say there s a hell of a lot more to this story . As I have stated before; politics aside ; you can't use public money to discredit political opponents. The fact that our leading news organisations haven't even touched this story is a tell in itself . Though I don't know the full details news yet news is breaking that the integrity initiative had a lot to do with pushing the skirpal " Russia Russia " narrative or in lamens terms deliberately trying to misinform the British public for political capital .

Not sure how this will play out asheren . Obviously some production is being moved to eastern Europe ( corporations just love those low wages ) with the promise of next gen cars replacing the lost production in the UK . All seems very similar to the GM situation in the US , shutting plants " but we ll be building electric cars soon " . I'll believe it when I see it.

I'm not sure there s a budget that hasn't been cut , past MP s salaries . You always know a budget is for the chop when they start saying it's rising "in real terms " .
