  • Court Battle Shifts the Political Terrain for Senators in the Heartland

I vaguely remember Bill Clinton, or some Democrat (I think it was him.) saying that the Democratic Party was trying to take people left, too fast. too quickly.

North Dakota was once a pillar of prairie populism, flirting with socialism and creating a state bank and a state mill that still exist today. Only a decade ago it sent three Democrats to Congress and gave Barack Obama 45 percent of its vote. Since then, however, it has seen its Democratic Party hollow out, losing legislative seats, including in this region, and giving Hillary Clinton just 27 percent.

“People think the Democrats have focused too much on culture, and culture that doesn’t reflect their values,” Ms. Heitkamp said of her state’s voters.

I saw the same article. Given that the seats up in the senate this time round are mostly in strong GOP country anyway, it's unlikely the Dems can get a majority.

the House is where the real fighting is going to be.

My prediction: Democrats take the house. Republicans retain control of the senate.

I can't imagine dems won't take the house. They've got to be able to win something at some point. The GOP controls every level of federal government at this point.

I see barely losing the house and consolidating control in the Senate, not just retaining. Probably pick four seats. No matter how many libtards show up to shipwreck Beto's rallies...do they vote, and he's pretty much against a lot of what Texas is. Also, he's an actual criminal
