I am just curious what kind of Chinese made stuff you buy that is "copied." That is all. I have fake products, too. I know where they are from and I know that they are fake most of the times. I try to avoid them whenever I can. There are people who don't care. For some products, I don't care, either. But for other products, I want the real thing. You seemed to be concerned about these "copied" products, so I just wondered what stuff YOU have that was copied.

Don't make this too complicated. It is a very simple question. It is perfectly fine if you don't have them. It just means that you are a smart person. It does not mean that there aren't fake Chinese products.

Tesla raises vehicle prices by 20 percent in China due to US trade war tariffs
        https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...ith-government

Tesla said in June 2017 that it was working with the Shanghai government to explore local manufacturing. The company’s only car-assembly plant is in Fremont, California, and it also has a battery factory in Nevada.

In November, Musk said Tesla was about three years away from starting production in the world’s biggest auto market. The factory will make a couple hundred thousand vehicles a year for buyers in China and potentially other parts of Asia, he said at the time.

Tesla probably will make the Model 3 and upcoming Model Y crossover in China and won’t build the bigger and pricier Model S or Model X there, Musk said then. In June, he told shareholders that the company may announce more details as soon as this month about plans to build a car, battery-pack and powertrain plant in Shanghai.

Actually I have practically non. I have a pair of Binoculars that are actually quite good. Really good for the money. However they are clones of a overseas design but under a Chinese Brand. But get this they sent them over without a even brand on them. They are blank. Quite dodgy looking but they work fine. Good value.
Am waiting for Chinese lens coatings that can strip paint...that kind of innovation. And least of all carry the brand on them thats respected.

Demand and supply....Well, if everyone or most people are like you, then there won't be these products flowing around. I have been trying to avoid them myself. I think the market is getting smaller and smaller, not bigger.

            • Yup, just as predicted, Tesla is building a factory in China aiming at producing 500,000 cars a year: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...hicle-capacity

Tesla Inc. reached a preliminary agreement with the Shanghai government to build a factory that will rival production from its lone U.S. assembly plant, as Elon Musk takes his biggest step yet to expand overseas.

Construction will begin soon after securing needed permits and the plant will produce 500,000 electric vehicles annually for Chinese consumers in two to three years, a Tesla spokesman said in an email. While Musk, 47, said more than two years ago that he expected output at that level from Tesla’s California facility by 2018, the company is well off that pace because of a slower-than-expected start for the Model 3 sedan.
Just something to ponder about...China makes roughly $8.46 from one iPhone: https://theconversation.com/we-estim...s-futile-99258

Yet, the whole price of an iphone is counted as China's trade deficit with US. There are many other similar products...iMac, Samsung, etc...

              • How's that gonna work? Tesla was barely able to produce a little bit more than 100.000 cars in 2017?

                  • They need to drop the free out of these deals. There is always concessions. Just read the key elements and the periphery of buts.
What exactly does EU agriculture have to fear from Japan.
Wait till they sign a deal with us then reply.

Why WOULD Japan sign anything with a Country who does NOT honor an agreement..

                      • Renegotiation clauses are built into many deals besides Japan didn't disagree with the tariffs. Its been the EU countering with tariffs, notably Germany the biggest exporter and proponent.
Japan and Korea just build the latest robot factory on US soil. They are more pragmatic

Remember democrats aren't disenfranchised by this. Even Sanders supports it

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration on Tuesday announced up to $12 billion in emergency relief for farmers hurt by the president’s trade war, moving to to insulate food producers from looming financial losses that would be a direct result of President Trump’s policies.
Smart move by Trump, by the way. This is how you win elections.

Creates a financial crisis then asks the taxpayers to pay for it. Must have missed that chapter in 'The Art of the Deal'.

Meanwhile Trump and his family get to keep doing business with China and dodge tariffs.

I didn't say whether or not this is good for America. I said this is how you win elections. Do American voters really care about the details?
