So that's why those paintings look like shyte. He should've picked an artist for their aptitude instead of their political alignment.

Obama became president of the USA not coming from a particuliarly rich family background. He managed to outmanoeuver the Clintons and their henchmen, and get reelected for a second term so give him that.

He was´nt a good president, he´s too much of a sectarian, but he is bright.

He is very bright and a far better politician than Trump, although when I think of how impossible a Trump Presidency seemed I may have to reconsider that. Obama's skids were always greased by a fawning and lickspittle press. Like Trump and the Bushes, he did come form a privileged background. Private schools, gated communities and all the Choom you could smoke.

I wouldn't say Trump's narrow win makes him a great politician. More a crass but effective rabble-rouser, willing to push buttons and make false promises on a scale actual politicians wouldn't dare. For his record as a 'politician' one needs to look at what he's done since winning the election and the wreckage he has caused while in office: poor foreign relations, multiple scandals, fractured parties at home, flailing leadership. It's plain that 'politics' is not his forte.

But back to the portraits: they suck. If they're going to be the official white house ones, they should have gone traditional. I'm not a fan of modern art.

I thought it looked like he was, as Breki might say, having a fearsome crunch.
