Giving derogatory names to your enemy, and broadly generalizing it to the whole population is not something that uncommon.

Everybody did it and still do.

Japs, gooks, yellow faces, viets, reds, commies, ruskies, gerries, krauts, hadjis, etc...

    We all did that.

Bottom line, if America was into genocidin, it would have popped up a long time ago.

Yes, this is a valid point looking forward.

History of the First Nation People is something different, though.

Nah... back in Nam... in the rice paddies... tending to my dying friends... bullets buzzing over our heads... the enemy closing on us... the stench of death... the screams of the wounded...

Yeah the Indians were mostly an accidental genocide. Kinda like how China/the mongols committed an accidental genocide against Europe via the Black Death. It’s the same.

Neither I nor the article guarantees that it will end in genocide, but it does talk of the road to genocide. How many steps in that direction does a country need to take? How many has it taken already?

Once hate is normalized you see greater discrimination of all kinds: voter suppression might increase; gerrymandering could calcify even more strongly along racial lines. Communities may become segregated in all but name: minorities marginalized and radicalized. People of color, or of dubious immigration status could be rounded up, or shot in the street and their relatives denied justice; people of different religions could be blocked from entering or have their visas revoked. Foreign and domestic terror will be fueled by injustices, real or perceived; hate groups might even start marching in the streets and running people down with cars.

But none of this has happened already so why worry, right?

No there may not be a genocide in the next few generations - most certainly not in the next few years. But there's a whole lot of slippery-sloping do be done along the way.

Wanna know what will help prevent your slippery slope? Moving away from identity politics that regressive liberals love preaching so much.

People have already explained to you that predictions of genocide in the US are infantile.

As far as Trump being the reason behind identity politics, the deplorables would like to have a word with you.

Sigh Again since you are now being obtuse...

Everything can be the first step to Genocide. I suddenly have an urge to flamethrower a Kiwi fruit after reading your whines. That doesn't mean I will eventually switch to people but by your tortured logic it means YOU are the cause of my future descendents possibly, maybe committing genocide.

Gerrymandering has been going on for centuries in the USA by both parties, want a classic example? look at that Shitweasel Luis Guttierez Illinois 4th congressional district and tell us how that's the GOP or trumps fault.

EVERY Nation on the planet has the right and duty to make decisions about Who will be allowed into it. YOUR nation does it as well so shove your sanctimoniousness somewhere south

Most of those Minorities shot in the streets are shot by other minorities which is the tragedy of this nation. NOT by Cops/KuKluxKlan/Nazi/Vigilantes/Rand Corporation Reverse Vampires, etc combined...

Hate groups have always marched, Thurgood Marshall as a SCOTUS judge also signed off on allowing Nazis to march through Skokie back in the 1970's. Part of Freedom of Speech is scumbags like Nazis do get the same rights as do NAMBLA and BLM, and Code Pink. Dont like that? No one in the USA cares, its allowed period, end of.

Someone kills someone at such a march they are arrested and tried and hopefully sent to prison for decades, RW or LW

This thread is stupid beyond belief, there are literally hundreds of things to rip trump a new rectum for, valid things

                          This.

Budgie, you really should grasp that the more you post about stupid shit like this concerning Trump the more difficult it becomes to take you seriously about anything.

Let’s band together and start criticizing Trump for the things that matter and that we can all agree he deserves criticism for. For example, for his poor decisions on various cabinet appointments, petty arguments over Twitter, overall mannerisms, not holding a public execution for Hillary, etc.

Exactly. Remember the wise words of King Frederick the Great of Prussia. He who attacks everything attacks nothing.

The Godwin principle is a live and well. Personally, I am tired of all of this compare to hitler. It is either eluding to a "fact" hitler wasn't so bad. Maybe hitler as a nice guy who was misunderstood. So who to day destroyed Europe and maybe caused a 100 million people to die? If Obama was on this forum he would get a holiday from it. Calling someone a nazi just does not justify violating their rights, civil liberties, or harming them. Today, the neo nazis are a joke. antifa should be wearing the brown shirts with stylish arm bands.

Budgie, it is people like you who will commit genocide. Believing that you have some kind of moral superiority does not justify, lying, hate or harming others. Guess what read history and Mein Kampf...................... There is no moral justification to murder even if you if wanted your candidate to win. After the election in Portland Oregon a person said they read about Kristallnacht and justified the protest using what they read. I asked them "Who is breaking the glass"............. It was antifa and those who opposed the election. Just because antifa is suppose to be against facism, it is not. They are the new brown shirts.

Budgie, who is really dividing this nation.................... Crap you are not even in this country.
