  • EU citizens will be allowed to work in UK for a year with a 12 months cooldown period for 5 years after 2020.

It seem they still try hard to make it pain in the a...s for EU but now looks like they are starting to have to acknowledge the reality.

Before any of you goes about usual low wage parasites BS. The ones who are parasite on UK economy are its own citizens given they have officialy not generated any tax incompe per capita in 2016/2017. They suck more in benefits than they generate.

    • A remarkable piece of opinion

Brexit is the certain route to a divided Britain
      ...
In the real world, revisiting the decision taken in 2016 would be divisive only in the sense that the Brexit vote was itself divisive. Plebiscites are exercises not in democracy but in crude majoritarianism. The institutions and norms of liberal democracy are there to protect the rights of minorities. Referendums afford no such respect to the loser...

The media in general have pushed a narrative in the UK for the last 2 years that most Brits now think Brexit is a horrible mistake and effectively can we just cancel it and carry on as normal . If you believe that narrative then maybe the article makes sense . If Brits think otherwise , and I think they do then I can only call it a highly irresponsible piece of journalism .

I think you are incorrect. Simply British peoples start to realize that what they were sold by Brexit crew is a lie and i don't talk about official media narrative. I am high enough in food chain in my company to see big picture. Only peoples who are going to benefit from Brexit are those the brexit crew was saying will be gone.

Immigration policy mr. Javid is making is only catering to Indians, Pakis etc. as they were squeezed hard in recent years by Europeans. It will also cater to all sorts of illegals.

            • It appears that UK goverment is out of time to pass all laws that would be needed for Brexit before end of march.

Guy verhofstadt on the Irish border issue in front of a parliamentary committee . Also a number of other issues are brought up including bailouts which are apparently illegal under EU law unless of course the commission wish to break them.

                • In the Mail there was a comment that if Article 50 is delayed beyond the end of May then the UK will have to have Euro elections, which could be an interesting opportunity for UK voters. The writer thought that this would likely give MPs a nasty shock.

In the Times Nigel said, in an interview about his golf, that although he didn't want to go into politics again if there was another UK Euro election then he would have to stand again.

A ukip whitewash of EU parliament seats even though they have no political credibility within the UK shows the nonsense of the whole EU structure . Getting back to the European elections , I've a feeling the results are not going to be great for some.

Agree and your "some" probably includes all the current major pro EU parties and the Commission. There is a chill wind blowing in from the east.

So-called Brexit survival kits costing almost £300 are being sold ahead of the UK leaving the EU. The packs include enough freeze-dried food to last 30 days, a water filter and fire starting gel.
£300? Someone is laughing all the way to the bank

                            • PM’s Brexit deal rejected by MPs

Prime Minister Theresa May has lost an MPs’ vote on her Brexit deal by 230 votes - the largest defeat for a sitting government in history.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has tabled a vote of no confidence in the government, which could trigger a general election.

MPs voted by 432 votes to 202 to reject the deal, which sets out the terms of Britain's exit from the EU on 29 March.
