  • RIP Photobucket

Photobucket have changed their hosting policies and now require you to purchase a paid-for package (at a mere US$399.99) to embed your photos anywhere else apart from their own webpages.

Personally I'd dropped them over a year ago. They'd shown to prefer to develop more sepia tone filters rather than reinstate a tool that let you know which 3rd party sites were showing your photos. Their 2GB hosting limit seemed suspiciously easy to reach and their support people were incompetent or unable to understand simple questions in English.

I'll also thank him for the threatening email I got from internet provider informing of new bandwith usage limits for my plan and overage rates.

I've been using Microsoft OneDrive for the past year and so it's been pretty good (now that they have gotten the hang of embedding photos).

Photobucket was and is trash anyway. Imgur FTW!

Imgur, Flickr. Never really understood why people used Photobucket. It always seemed clunky to me.

Postimage. Fast, convenient, easy. You choose your pic to be up for a day, a week, a month or forever. You don't even need an account.

Just deleted my account there. To top things off, one of their ads tried to serve me some malware.

                          Good riddance.

                            Thanks for the info TheKiwi

Just deleted my account also. Took me almost an hour, shit was so slow.

Unfortunate, every pic I've ever posted here was on that shit site.

So.......... now that I've told Photobucket to take a flying leap, is there anyway to go back and edit posts to include new links?
