      • There is a disconnect between the ICC penalty (5 runs on the spot, a match payment and penalty points that could equate to a 1 match suspension) and what the team will probably end up metering out to those involved (It appears the Captain and Vice Captain will never hold those positions again, the coach will probably either resign, or be sacked, potentially other suspensions/montetory fines). Then the long term impacts to their reputations with the public.

        • It turns out that it wasn't tape, it was sandpaper and Cricket Australia seem to be putting most of the blame on Warner. They've announced 12 month suspensions on Smith and Warner and 9 on Bancroft. Smith will be barred from captaining Australia for a year after his suspension is over and Warner will never captain Australia.

          • Smith and Warner lost their captaincies in IPL teams Rajasthan Royals and SunRisers Hyderabad respectively.

Also it appears after CA decision, they have been banned by BCCI for a year from playing in IPL as well. Both of them were on a 2.5 million dollar contract each.

                    • Sandpaper, what sand paper, that was last season, this is this season.

The Marsh brothers are struggling for runs, our Test Captain is 4th best keeper and 75th batsman in the country, the best young batsman in the country, recently anointed as the "one" has gone on mental health leave and India are still playing the smug Kohli bastard. International cricket is going to be hard to watch.

At least the big bash will be good, c'mon the Scorchers.

During the 2007 World Cup, the South African batsman used it to smash six sixes in an over against the Netherlands.
"It was the first time a player hit six sixes in one over in a one-day international game, it was a world first," Mr du Plessis said.
"It came with two shirts — it came with Herschelle Gibbs' shirt that he wore while he was batting.
"Daan van Bunge was the bowler and it came with his shirt as well. On that it actually had the inscription 'they were only small sixes', which I thought was brilliant.
                        Haha, outstanding.

This can get stamped out of the game as quickly as possible as far as I'm concerned.

                          • Yeah, deliberate attempt at a distraction.

                            • I'm not entirely sure I agree with switch hitting either.
