  • Trump fires US Attorney General Jeff Sessions

I know he's not exactly been singing his praises for awhile now, but I didn't see this coming!

Any ideas on a replacement? Rosenstein next...?

Jesus that was quick. Just this morning a pundit on Al Jazeera predicted he might leave in a few weeks.

Think Trump is making a play to shut down Mueller before the next congress is in session?

Or is he just lashing out because he took a shellacking in the midterms and Sessions was the next sucker to walk in the room...

      Good.
      Never liked the guy

Also, it seems that Trump is quietly installing a new guard in the gop

Good! Federal Legalization of Marijuana followed by restored gun rights for non-violent felons here we come.

Trump doesn't do anything quietly. A lot of people are going to be leaving of their own volition in the next few weeks because they don;t want their asses over the fire when the investigations start. He has the most corrupt cabinet ever and now they are a lot less protected than they've been so far.

If you think the leaks, firings and resignations were bad enough before, watch the mass exodus to come.

There's also the possibility Trump suspected Sessions would leave and fired him first to satisfy his own fragile ego. We know by now he really is that petty.

Twas bound to happen and Session compromised himself even before he took office.

And the shithead's only defense was always obstruction.

Nice analysis, except you missed the bigger picture: the acting AG (Mattew Whittaker) is now in charge of the Mueller investigation and he previously said there was enough evidence to start investigations into the Clinton Foundation.

It’s making Schumer pretty scared if he asked Whittaker to recuse himself like Jeffy.

Can we expect another saturday night massacre?

:edit: also worth noting not even 24 hours after the midterms.

Good timing. Always good idea to get a second opinion.

And? Trump said that Sessions’ job was safe until after the midterms back in August.

How convenient the day after the Democrats take over the house.

What obstacle did Sessions represent towards Trump? None? Trump falls over one coffee table after another.

He recused himself from the Mueller investigation and backed away from federal legalization of Marijuana which is a killing blow to the Democrats.
