Kim Jong Un agrees to meet Donald Trump at DMZ, source says

Seoul, South Korea (CNN)South Korean President Moon Jae-in has convinced North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to hold his upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump at the demilitarized zone separating the two Koreas, a source tells CNN.

Moon and Kim met at the same location in Panmunjom last Friday, a historically significant event that was televised worldwide and led to an agreement to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula and formally end the Korean War.
There is a "strong possibility" the summit will be held at the site, with some events possibly scheduled on the northern side of the military demarcation line separating the two countries, according to an official with deep knowledge of North Korea's thinking on the matter.

Well we must remember Kim does not fly on aircraft..so his armored train or car are his methods of transit.

SEOUL, South Korea — South Korea's Yonhap News Agency says North Korea is canceling a high-level meeting between the two countries and is threatening also to cancel a summit with the United States due to ongoing military exercises between the U.S. and South Korea.
The two Koreas were set to hold a meeting Wednesday at a border village to discuss setting up military and Red Cross talks to reduce border tension and restart reunions between families separated by the Korean War.

Yonhap says North Korea's Korean Central News Agency reported that Wednesday's meeting was canceled and that Pyongyang was questioning whether next month's summit between North Korea's Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump can also take place as planned.
Yonhap says the two-week military exercise between the U.S. and South Korea started Friday.

You wonder if he did it on purpose...

When John R. Bolton looks at North Korea, he sees Libya. It is not a perfect comparison, he acknowledges, but if there is a model for how to peacefully rid a hostile dictatorial state of its nuclear program, he points to the disarming of Libya some 15 years ago.

What an appetizing example for denuclearization.

Oh God. I wonder if low IQ is a prerequisite in some areas of the WH administration
Lybia example is exactly why NK won't discard its nuclear insurance .....

probably just a bluff for leverage during the summit, but regardless it should be ignored. The US-ROK drills were surely known well in advance. and they have ignored prior ones.

For all the talk about warming Korea relations, he cancelled 1 on 1 talks with the South too.

As for the Libya comparison, whoever let that get past a mouthpiece's lips is indeed incompetent. It might be proper for analysis to look at Libya's denuclearization, but the comparison in media is poisoned due to later events I doubt that alone prompted this though.

Always gotta keep in the back of your mind that it might just be another puppet show for 'aid'

Postponing the wargames would have been smart though...

And then have them resumed depending on the result of the talks.
