  • "Is there a single chance that it is not" Iranian Toophan ATGM, placed for the cameras?

    "No.
We say its TOW, so its must be true."

Either way, 10 launchers for the whole Deraa front (with the rockets missing), 100 wooden boxes (probably empty as well), and some parts (disassembled to make the number higher). Very impressive.

Indeed, but I really can't remember of any past instances where they did something that barbaric.

Which is why I find this report a bit odd.

Have the "diplomatic" flights from Bulgaria , Croatia etc ceased?

Yup looks like virtually the whole Jordan border is under SAA control. This Daraa campaign is moving very fast, the Syrian/Russian strategy is proving to be a real winner. Just compare it to the US strategy back in Iraq where they had to constantly watch their backs.

Its all heading to a real showdown with ISIS when it will be interesting to see how Israel reacts. Note Natty's trip to Moscow this week.

It's funny how these ISIS bubbles just remain in place within "FSA" territory for years on end.

Like I said before, 10 (ten!) launchers for the whole Deraa front. Combined with the rest, it's barely enough to arm one small battalion for 10 days of combat. Looks very spectacularly on propaganda display, but in practice the reality is different.
And btw, the once US-backed Syrian forces in Deraa are well known as small and symbolic long before the battle
began, the Russian trolls themselves laughed at them occasionally. But I guess even defeating a hamster must count as a Heroic Victory when the Russian propaganda told you so.

Those lines has been already cut off by Trump. You bragged about that as well, remember?

Where do you see any French anti-tank weapons ? Except the two Gazelles at the beginning of the video I don't see any French equipment.

Being propaganda isn't my issue. I replied to you as you were saying that most likely these are tophans. And yes Russians et all may/have laughed at them and they were considered symbolic or technically useless during this government push. ( while oddly enough being in a practically easier to supply-by outsiders zones) as you were saying. Not that I care much or at all about such comments or laughs;what is important is what is happening and how things are developing. The fast pace of advance and the eventual fast capture of the border area and SW Daraa is a quite a testament to the eventual lack of support( but the weapons support wasn't lacking too much. Externally but also thanks to the countless depots falling to rebel hands mind you too) and other things at play ( somewhere I had read an article which was talking about many little negotiations going on for years from the side of Damascus. just to give an example).

Personally , I am glad things develop fast .I am also surprised by the pace considering the overall conflict and the numerous older stalemates ,because as far as I saw this slugfest of conflict going on and the more it was prolonged by either side and being indecisive, it was worse for everybody living in such places.
