Aren't perminantly blinding weapons against the Geneva Convention ?

And BS on the battery problem. Billions are poured on solutions with modest results. It would have to be a miracle breakthrough. I can't remember the source, but one scientist said there is a finite limit that chemistry based solutions can store.

No power armour, no pew pews. Sorry.

Besides, the lead delivery systems are working well and are durable.

The UN Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons - Protocol IV: Blinding Laser Weapons prohibits the employment of "laser weapons specifically designed, as their sole combat function or as one of their combat functions, to cause permanent blindness to unenhanced vision".

The U.S. is a party to the treaty, as is China.

I'm tempted to believe if China has just announced this then the US or UK has had a working one for years already. I've read about the big ones, but is it possible they have been keeping a hand-held device under wraps?
