  • Oh boys, I've swung a deal for a new shooter...

    Give me 6 months and I'll be the proud new owner of a HK P7M13, one of my holy grail guns.

      The P7M13 is indeed a holy grail. Even in Germany they are not seen often. They require some understanding on the safety mechanisms, though.

        Very true, a good friend of mine owns a PSP model that I fell in love with the operation of. I doubt he'd ever sell it, regardless of my begging.

        Now I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for mags...

          • Repeat of last year, came home to a ton of parts, as is tradition...

            Revamped my Mossberg 590A1 with a Surefire 623LMG pump, a Matador Sidewinder folding adapter, and a regular length ACE SOCOM stock.

            And a pair of Insight WL1-AA for my pistolas. The laser equipped will flop between my full size and compact USP.

            There's more, but I need to get my mail tomorrow

            • I was very close to buying a Mossberg 590 A1 this year. But due to lack of availability to test it before buying, I rented a Maverick 88 which has the same shape and it felt too unwieldy to me. I've only shot some cheapo Turkish Escort shotgun before - but as much as it's quality sucked, it felt better/less tiring to shoot it for me. I suspect it's a length of pull thing, since the Turkish shotgun had a shorter stock. I'm still entertaining the thought of getting a 590 A1 Magpul version, since I could then change LOP to my liking.

                  Probably next year. I've already bought a 6" Taurus Tracker revolver recently - time to let the wallet recover a couple of months

                      Do it. Magpul stock if you don't like pistol grip shotty's, or get a Mesa adaptor like mine if you want a collapsible stock. 590 or 590A1, you won't be disappointed with either one.

                      In other news, new to me Beretta Model 71;

                          It was fun to shoot for the first time, except the magazine was catching bullet noses a few times and misfeeding.

                          Dremel fixed that and opened it up, guess that means another range day

                              Sort of, it's the Surefire Trainer Can as we can't have the good stuff here

                              • Bit of a bugger that. I'd still trade you a supressor for your "pistol" magazines that hold 20+ rounds...
