I watch a little GE and find this on a military airport.
Does anyone have an idea what it could be.

I'm sorry this is the best picture that I manage to make.

Edit : the diameter of the inner circle (black) is about 50m.

Looks like a standard NATO star?

At a rough guess somebodies painted their helipcopter landing pad for some ceremonial occassion or other then its been left.

That definitely looks like standard NATO dark blue thats had a few years of sun and weathering

It looks like a star, I am confused by this dike around.

I thought it was some kind of mark, but the tips of the stars are not oriented toward the cardinal points.

If you saw it on Google Earth, the coordinates are readily available. So much for getting an answer to your question.

A buddy of mine was using his newly bought metal detector ( he got interested in treasure hunting recently and what he has found so far are some coins of varying year stamps and some bullet casings, mostly for mosin-nagants) in area of an outdoors jogging route, near an airport ( a place that was blown to bits by germans leaving finland in 1944) and came accross with this item. For me it looks like a mine of some sort, but I cannot be sure about it. He called the police to have a look at it and they were also intrigued by it. The size is slightly bigger than of a regular household smoke detector and the white things at the bottom end of the small rods appear to be ceramic.

                            Any ideas?

Are there possibilities for a better picture?
