    It makes no sence to make those outdated systems useful again..
    There are plenty ongoing SF operations right now for them to support. What doesn't make sense is spending 60.000$ an hour when 1.000$ is enough to get the job done. These will not operate in places where US(or host country) doesn't have air supremacy.. and as I said above, they are no more vulnerable than any helicopter operating in the theater.
